Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I don’t have the confidence to do this. Do you think I’d look as good as the women in your portfolio?
A: Of course! I can tell you, first of all, that they didn’t feel confident at first either. That’s the fun of having such an intimate shoot: we grow comfortable together! I’ve done boudoir myself and I have to tell you that doing boudoir has saved my confidence. On days when I’m feeling down, I do self portraits and it lifts my spirits instantly!
Q: I am wanting to do this for (insert special event here), how far in advance should I book?
A: I suggest at least 6 weeks in advance for a very tight turnaround* but most ladies book up to 6 months in advance. That gives time for your photos to be edited/retouched, you to come back and make your selections, and me to design your products and get them ordered. However, more time is best as albums and such may need more time from the printers that we might not be able to foresee.
* Completely depends on my availability.
Q: I don’t have any idea what to wear. Do you help with that?
A: I absolutely do! I am experienced at helping people find outfits that are flattering and fit their personality. We will go over all of this prior to your session. Also, while we’re talking about outfits, you can be as nude as you’d like, but don’t feel like you have to be nude at all!
Q: How much editing do you do?
A: I actually do minimal editing. I do ensure that skin looks its best, but I don’t do body shape alterations. However, most of the “problem areas” that people have issues with are minimized by posing and lighting, so there isn’t much need for photoshop. I disagree with them being considered problem areas, as it is your body and you should love it. Even upon special request, I still might disagree to photoshop these areas unless the request is justifiable (e.g. traumatic scar you want taken out).
Q: The world can’t know about this! My career, reputation, life, etc. depend on that! Will anyone ever know?
A: First and foremost, I think it’s shameful that people make such a big deal about the human body that it could ruin someone’s reputation. But, I digress. The only way anyone would ever know is if you told them or if you signed my form stating I can share your photos, and even then, I do my best to make you unidentifiable (unless you say it’s fine to display your pictures as is). So every photo you see is specifically allowed to be used. Your secret is safe with me!
Q: Do you have any outfits or accessories I can use for my session?
A: At the moment, I do not, unfortunately. However, you can always reach out to me in advance to go over your options or to plan a shopping trip together if that’s something you’d like!
Testimonials
Miss A.B.
“Shooting with Francesca is comfortable and the results are amazing! She knows what she’s doing and she’s not afraid to demonstrate and guide you through the process. Before the shooting even begun, she sent over an amazing infopack that taught me everything I needed to know and our pre-consultation allowed me to really formulate what I wanted this experience and my pictures to look like. My only regret is choosing to shoot in my own messy hotel room rather than her list of AirBnBs and boutique hotels but that was completely my own fault.
She’s worth every penny and she produces some amazing photography. I’ve never felt this sexy and empowered in any picture I’ve ever taken of myself and I can’t wait for round 2!”

“It’s such a fun time with Francesca! We explore and play with colors and feelings rather than specifically curated poses and locations. It’s always a blast and the end results are always beautiful.
My boyfriend even asked for some of these pictures to make a calendar of me because he thought they were so professional and beautiful enough to warrant showing off at home—he says people always compliment the model and the photographer without knowing it’s me!
Count me in for the next shoot!”

“I was incredibly nervous about dressing down and posing but it felt very natural and comfortable with Francesca. She even helped me with my hair and makeup and made me feel like an absolute queen before we started shooting!
Throughout the process she was a therapist, a cheerleader and a teacher. When I was shaking like a leaf for the first few photos, she coached me through it. When I was clueless how to lace up a corset back, she taught me. When I had no idea how to be sexy, she was there to show me how. Needless to say the photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined, and it’s all thanks to Francesca. If you are considering boudoir, don't think, just do. Francesca will lead you the way! I am so thankful that I had her when I made the leap into boudoir.”
